Start with Cold Reading 101
Cold Reading 101 explains the difference between an observation and an interpretation. Use the RADAR sequence to Register what you saw, consider Alternatives and Dynamics, Ask or accommodate, then Recalibrate as new information arrives.
Signal guides cover face and gaze, voice, words, posture and movement, space and touch, physiology, interaction, and context. Practice scenarios, calibration drills, and case files help you apply the method without treating a cue as proof.
Dictation and On-Device Drafts
You can type a situation without granting microphone or speech permission. If you choose dictation, allow Microphone and Speech Recognition when iOS asks. On compatible devices, optional structured cold-read drafts use Apple Foundation Models on device. Availability depends on your device, language, iOS version, and Apple Intelligence settings.
Premium and Restore Purchases
The first five entries in each bundled library are available without a subscription. Premium unlocks the complete signal, scenario, drill, and case-file libraries plus unlimited supported on-device drafts.
Purchases are handled by Apple through StoreKit. If an active subscription is not recognized after reinstalling or changing devices, open Library & Settings and choose Restore Purchases. Manage or cancel subscriptions in your Apple App Store account settings.
Privacy and Sync
No app account is required, and core content works offline. Favorites, custom observations, and preferences are stored on your device using SwiftData and may sync through your private iCloud database when available. The app has no ads, tracking, or third-party analytics SDK.

Important Limitation
A cold read is a hypothesis, not an answer. The app cannot determine what another person feels, wants, believes, or intends, and no signal proves attraction, consent, deception, guilt, personality, diagnosis, or danger. Signals to Read is an educational reference, not medical, legal, safety, hiring, or investigative advice.
If a situation involves immediate danger or a high-stakes decision, prioritize appropriate professional help, direct verification, and established safety procedures.
